Tension high in Turkana county after KDF accused of using bombs on Civillians

Leaders in the north rift region have expressed mixed reactions after several difficulties in the region. This comes as Turkana governor accused the military of bombing civilians at Kelemngorok in Turkana south constituency in an attempt to recover stolen livestock. In Samburu North, 700 families have reportedly fled the volatile area after series of attack from the KDF. 

A series of attacks characterized by the issues of cattle rastling in the Kerio valley belt has continued to cause havoc in the region. Speaking at ACK church in keiyo south, in Elgeiyo Marakwet county, a section of leaders from the north rift region have questioned the ministry of interior ability to contain the situation.

This comes as turkana governor Jeremiah Lomurukai led section of turkana county leaders accused the KDF for allegedly using bombs on civilians in an operation to crack down on suspected bandits.

Tension is high in Marthi samburu north after 700 families were displaced following the issues of cattle rastling.Samburu governor said that bandits have displaced 2200 families around the region and now wants the government to contain the situation…………..

Locals now want president William Ruto to take charge.
