Supplies agency CEO Terry Ramadhani has said that kemsa is on a trajectory that will fully regain the trust of counties, partners and donors. This comes as talks continue to have private hospitals source medical suplies from kemsa
As at February 2023 44counties out of the 47 had conducted and concluded talks with kemsa and put
their working plan un-interrupted for medical supplies and payment to the medical supplies
body
Counties orders to Kemsa shot in the last 5 month with a trajectory of close to 7 billion shillings . Kemsa’s key focus is digitizing a hundred percent of it’s services to improve turn around time and trap medical supply more efficiently among other functions
At the end of this year kemsa ought to deliver medical supplies in, one day for emergency cases,5
days for hospital and 7 days for primary health care center kemsa as current turn around time is 10-
11days
Further discussions are being conducted to have an all inclusive system of medical supply to all health
facilities
Kemsa CEO terry ramadhani has further called for more vigilance by count bosses in ensuring medical
supplies serve their purpose in rightful destination and not relocated for personal gain as recently
witnessed in Nairobi.
