Cabinet Secretaries arrived at the Fairmount Mt. Kenya Safari Club for a four-day retreat hosted by President William Ruto.

The meeting, according to State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, is to bring together senior Executive members including Cabinet Secretaries, presidential advisors and Principal Secretaries.

Spokesperson Mohammed also added that the meeting is set to review the steps the Kenya Kwanza administration has made since assuming office and also spell out key areas of focus to see the realization of their campaign pledges as the new year begins.

“The retreat between 5th-8th January will crystallize the implementation programme of the Administration’s Plan for the Year 2023,” he wrote on Twitter.

Images seen show Cabinet Secretaries Alfred Mutua (Foreign Affairs), his counterparts Soipan Tuya (Forestry), Ezekiel Machogu (Education) Davis Chirchir (Energy) and Alice Wahome (Water) arriving at the hotel lobby.

Attorney General Justin Muturi, National Security Advisor Monica Juma, former Chief Justice David Maraga now the Chairperson of the police welfare taskforce, and Lands and Physical Planning Principal Secretary Nixon Korir are among others seen within the premise.

More members are expected to arrive in the course of the day.
