One of the indipendence and electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) commisioners, Mrs Julia Cherera has resigned. In a letter to the president the former commissioner thanked the board for its management and thanked every one who had participated in the election.
“It is with immense woes that today I tender my resignatuion as thecommisioner and vice chairperson of the IEBC,” the IEBC commissioner said
The former commissioner went on to praise herself for the work she has done in the commission and also heaped praise over her colleagues
Since joining the commission, I have dispenced my duties dilligently, meticulously and put on a spirited effort in helping the commission deal with corporate governance issues under very difficult circumstances,” She stated in the letter
Juliana Cherera becomes the second commissioner to resign after Justus Nyang’aya resigned last week.This follows as there have been protests about the four commissioners being dropped of their positions in the commission.
