The Deputy President of kenya H.E Rigathi Gachagua has offered to donate over Ksh.300,000 to Komarock Primary School in Embakasi area, towards the students’ farewell party after the ongoing national examinations which will end on Wednesday.

He promised to stash the money after he visited the school on Tuesday to monitor the progress of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the first time Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations.
“After finishing exams, I will give the headteacher 300,000 shillings so that after the exams you can come and have a bash to say farewell,” said the DP.
He also promised to hand out an additional Ksh.100,000 to reward the school’s 32 teachers for what a job well done as he had stated, which was raising and preparing the students in a good way for the exams
“We will not leave the teachers behind, they have also done a very good job. I will leave 100,000 for them so that they too can celebrate a bit,” said Gachagua.
KCPE and KPSEA exams entered their second day on Tuesday with Over 2.5 million candidates across Kenya sitting for their Grade Six and Class Eight exams.
Of the 2, 531, 785 candidates, 1,244, 188 are taking their KCPE exams while 1, 287,597 are sitting the maiden KPSEA exams since the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
