MMUST will host the national inter-county karate championship scheduled to kick off from 7th to 9th October this year in Kakamega county. Kakamega county will be represented by two teams namely the MMUST karate team as well as the Kakamega county karate team. According to the western region secretary general Christopher Ouma , they are set to dominate the competitions in both men’s and ladies competitions. In 2018 the male Karate team reached semi-finals while the ladies clinched the third position.
