
In inaugural, Azimio la Umoja One Kenya parliamentary meeting held in Maasai Lodge in Kajiado county yesterday, the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta broke the silence after the just concluded election and after the supreme court upheld Ruto’s victory.
The meeting which brought together Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga who appeared in public for the first time after the supreme court upheld Ruto’s win, wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Narc Leader, who is also Raila’s deputy Martha Karua.
In the meeting, the outgoing president said his choice of Raila as his preffered presidential candidate still remains. He said he will hand over power smoothly to the incoming president William Ruto but Raila Odinga will still remain his leader. He also admonished kenyans for loosing a big opportunity of loosing a leader who would unite them.
The outgoing also rallied the Azimio la Umoja legislatures to support their candidates for the speaker position in senate and the national assembly.
