
Outgoing Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta has pledged to accept and follow the supreme court ruling to the latter. Speaking, during his brief with the media, he said following a disputen in the presidential elaction a petition was filed in the supreme court and it pronounced on its on matter by upholding William’s Ruto win. He said he will respect and honour the judgement by the supreme court because he took an oath to uphold and respect the Judiciary.
The outgoing president is committed to ensuring that the transition of the power process moves with speed to ensure peaceful leaving office for the new administration. He also said assumption of office of committee that began to work on august 10th is ready to initiate handing over the power to the incoming president.
He congratulated every other person who won and thanked Kenyans for the support they have showed him for the last 10 years.
