Bungoma based farmers have a reason to smile after Nzoia sugar factory resumed its operations. The factory that was out of operations for a time, has now come back to life after the government offered a half a billion to support it in its operations.

Chrispyne Ogutu, who is the managing director of the company, confirmed the resumpion of milling, and said that all the dues that the farmers had, were payed, and the company is now officialy operating.

Farmers have been urged to continue supplying canes to the company, as the factory is now in high demand of the product.
