Standing firm on 100/= for 2KG of maize flour packet ,the Principal Secretary of Agriculture Doctor Francis Owino comes to the rescue of Kenyans who are still struggling due to the shortage of cheap unga stating that 3.2 million of maize flour has been supplied countrywide in almost all supermarket.
Stagging this as an agreement with the government it therefore ignites Kenyan’s hope as more unga is anticipated to be in surplus by the end of this week.
Citing that the ministry of agriculture has been receiving reports concerning millers who are still holding their maize flour stock so as to sell them later for more profits, Doctor Francis sensitizes that appropriate action will be taken against such characters.
In company of maize millers who attended the meeting together with the Principal Secretary ;came into terms and agreement with the government to pay millers in the next 24 hours.
