On Wednesday , Kenya  celebrated the appointment of Dr Anne Kihara, as the first African woman president of the international federation of gynecology and obstetrics

The need for proper civic education for teenagers and youth on reproductive health, was emphasized in a bid to empower them in making informed choices

Lack of adequate information on available family planing options, such as the use of contraceptives, was blamed for the  increase in cases of the teenage mothers

Players in the reproductive health sector, say  they have been sidelined in formulation of policies that directly affected their field

They say that it is necessary to pull resources and ensure all players are allowed to play their part ,

In order to attain primary heath care, which is a component of  the universal heath coverage
